Import from a spreadsheet
Bring your existing audition history in from a CSV or spreadsheet in a few steps.
Already tracking auditions in a spreadsheet? You can bring that history in instead of re-entering it by hand.
Prepare your file
Export your spreadsheet as a CSV. Each row should be one audition, and the first row should be your column headers (for example: Project, Date, Casting Director, Status).
You don’t need to rename or reorder your columns first — you’ll map them to the right fields during import.
Upload and map columns
- Go to Import from the auditions page.
- Choose your CSV file.
- For each column in your file, pick the matching field in The Career Actor. Columns you don’t need can be left unmapped.
Mapping tags and project types
- Project type accepts one value per row and maps to your existing types.
- Tags let a single column map to one or more tags — new tag names are created automatically as they’re imported.
Review and confirm
Before anything is saved, you’ll see a preview of how your rows will import. Check a few rows, then confirm. You can always edit or delete imported auditions afterward.
